This beginning of the year we have received excellent news: our center has been selected in the VII Call for Dualiza Grants, promoted by CaixaBank Dualiza and FPEmpresa, for the project “NEXOS 4.0: 5G and IoT Technology for the Integration of Disadvantaged People Through Agriculture 4.0”.
What is the NEXOS 4.0 Project?
The “NEXOS 4.0” project focuses on exploring advanced solutions based on technologies such as IoT (Internet of Things) and 5G mobile connectivity with the aim of revitalizing local agriculture in Bizkaia and promoting social cohesion. Our students from the higher degree cycle of Telecommunications and Computer Systems will lead first-hand this experience that combines technological and social innovation. Educational Impact and Beyond
This project represents a unique opportunity for our students, who will work on real challenges, promoting values such as social integration and sustainability. In addition, the project will include the collaboration of students from different professional families, designing innovative technological solutions that will be presented to the Bermeo City Council.
A Competitive and Promising Framework
This edition of the Dualiza Grant Call has been especially competitive, with a total of 308 applications. The 47 centers selected throughout Spain will receive a total of 401,488 euros to develop 30 innovative projects, all characterized by their innovative approach, capacity for social impact and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals.
